Have I mentioned how much I hate the ETS.

I left to the bus 5 minutes earlier to than I normally would and was there clearly well before the bus should have been. So, I was on my way to the stop, most of the through the field and the bus drives by. Sitting in the bus "shelter" and there was this lady standing just outside in the doorway and staring at me for a good 5 minutes. Or at least it felt like it. The next bus should of been at the stop at 09:19 but did not get there till 09:25. Good thing the 33 sat around late like it normally does so I just made it before it drove off intern making me truly late for work.

It seems lately that more and more the ETS is failing. Recent trends in the world today is to go green and the city of Edmonton is trying to push it, well at least they have that facade going for them right now. For instance getting ETS to turn the buses off when waiting at the transit stations. But, my point, the way the system is set up it makes it real difficult for people to get from one point to another in a timely matter. I want to know how hard it would be to revamp this system to something that would work for the sprawling that this city insists on doing. I am not just talking about the actual cost but the difficulty of the stupid people to learn the new routes. Transit systems, in more impoverished nation, can work effectively, so why does this city insist on failing so completely. But I digress.

Oh on a side note, the window on the bus is broke and will not latch closed.

A year in the life of me.

So it has been a year. Crazy! So much has happened in that short period of time. I went from not even wanting a girlfriend to falling head over heels in love, then expecting to loosing it all including my job in the same couple of days. For those who do not know how my last year went. It started like this.

A couple days before Canada Day (July 1st) 2007, I went out camping with a good friend of mine and at the time my roommate and co-worker. We had met at Dell whiles in training that February. My first night out there was a mess. It rained so bad that my tent was breached and I had to sleep in the car. The sleep was not that good. The next day I let my tent dry and then took it apart to move it to higher ground in hopes that if it did rain again that I would not be sleeping in a puddle. (It did not rain again.) I had the tent set up and was trying to set some kind of overhang thing, which has a name I cannot remember, that goes over the tent to deflect water and also seconds as a place of shade to sit in. Any way that is when I met "her". She was amazing, she was hot and did not mind helping me set it up. I had so much fun on that trip, we danced and walked and talked and she drank, and so did I. But I drank something a little different. A Rush, too much A Rush, four in as many hours, bad, so bad. But it was fun.

I next saw her a few days after the camping trip, and we went on our first date. To TWOS and so much fun was had. Too bad we had to leave early, to pick up her sister in some crazy little town. From then on we were pretty much always together doing everything together and I loved it, loved her.

During the summer we went camping at William A. Switzer Provincial Park, just north of Hinton, Alberta. Our first night out there failed so badly that if it was any other person I would have just given up. The poles for the tent were nowhere to be found and it was pouring down rain. But she make shifted this structure that kept out most of the rain and the next day we drove back in to Hinton and bought a new tent. We hiked in Jasper and it was so beautiful. The funniest thing ever seen was, Graveyard Lake.

On Thanks Giving day we made this meal that was absolutely amazing. I made the turkey and stuffing, the potatoes and some pie, sugar and pumpkin. I also made the center piece. She made the cranberry Jell-o thing and the best apple pie ever.

I remember handing out candy to the kid on Halloween as we ate so much, I almost felt sick.

Then came December 8, 2007, I just got work and we were going to go out. First she wanted to stop at London Drugs. We picked up a test, went home, and I waited. She came out of the bathroom and was crying and went straight to my room. We were pregnant. So we talked and started to prepare for it, then started to tell our families. With every one told by the end of the year, she went to her parents place to look after the dogs, and never came back. She told me that she never would, and that she was not going to have my child. The day after she told me I lost my job at Dell and things did not get any better. I went to Montreal for a week, it was fun but not really what I should have done. After that I got and lost my job at IBM, during which my grandmother died.

Now I am working at a casino. Living life the best I can and working as hard as I can. I am supposed to be going to Pemberton at the end of the month and the Nine Inch Nails concert. But work says I cannot have the time off. I really hope I can. I wonder what the next year will bring. I hope it is better than the last six months.

*I will add pictures later. I have to go to work now.*
